2nd Week in October

Cold morning in da Delta on Tuesday!

Wednesday morning errand: truck shopping & selling off restaurant equipment.

Fried Chicken from Church's for lunch!

Quick visit to farm, saw couple whitetail deers.

Help Dad place an ad in local recycling paper - Thursday.

Late afternoon Thursday outing - lots of wildlife seen (a Canadian Goose, Whitetail Deers, and a chatty Fox Squirrel)!

Busier Friday with some house cleaning, laundry, and alittle bit of a workout on the elliptical machine. Went out to the farm later in the afternoon to do some wildlife scouting and to try out my brother high powered pellet gun. Didn't see any thing (i.e. squirrels) to shoot at except for some discarded beverage cans and sticks in the pond. Saw four deers just off the levee road on the way in and three more on the way out.

 Dad decided to buy a used pickup truck from a family friend this morning (Sat) and I got to drive it this afternoon and tonight. Also went squirrel hunting for about an hour. Kept hearing the squirrels barking in the trees but never had a clear view of them to lineup the sights on my Ruger 10/22 rifle on them. Oh well, the small game hunting season last thru January 2013 so I have a few months to keep trying. The mosquitoes were pretty bad though.
