On this New Year Eve, my faith in my fellow man grew just a little bit as my trust in the Postal Service decreased by the same margin; a kindly neighbor handed my brother a weather damaged letter (containing a nice check) from my friends in California. She had found it on a railroad track down the road. It's pretty amazing story when you consider that the letter was mailed over three weeks ago and we had several major rainstorms in those weeks! Thank you my kind neighbor for your kindness!!!
