"Mother of George" (2013)

Most viewers are more familar with Danai's other role as "Michonne" on "The Walking Dead"
 Congrats to my GHS classmate, Dr. J. Tankersley, co-producer of "Mother of George", one of two winners in the recent Sundance Festival for best cinematography in the dramatic category! He's hopeful that "Mother of George" will be invited to participate in the international film festival in Cannes in May. Meanwhile, film distribution has been lined up and the 110 minute film should be in theaters this Summer. Also, two more projects are on the horizon, including "Tank" which was inspired by Dr Tankersley's time as a dentist at Mississippi State Prison  at Parchman and "Orleans" about a love tale of two people separated by Hurricane Katrina. I should mention that Dr. Tankersley's day job is still (for now, until Hollywood beckons) is director of dentistry at the North Sunflower Medical Center in Ruleville, Ms.
